FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I typically work at a $225 per hour rate on family law related matters. However, I am usually willing to consider flat fees for cases where the parties have already reached an agreement. In addition, payment plans will be considered where practical. For Criminal Matters a flat fee is always used with varying amounts depending on the complexity of the case. Also, I always work at a discounted rate for veterans and first responders.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First we talk over the phone to discuss the basics of your case. If I think that I may be able to help your specific situation then we set up a consultation at my office in Covington. You will leave the consultation with no questions left to ask. At the consultation we will talk about the possible paths forward from which you can choose and whether my representation would be beneficial. If so then we begin representation at that time. If not, then I attempt to point you in the right direction. In more pressing cases, representation begins over the phone, and our first meeting is at court. I pride myself on flexibility for your given situation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
