- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I found myself tutoring classmates in college. I felt a sense of satisfaction when they understood the material. A few months later I was tutoring at the college math lab and doing some on my own too.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Most of my clients want help with algebra or geometry. Frequently they need help with word problems or proofs. Some need reassurance that they are doing fine, which leads to self confidence.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
If you hear of a good tutor from your friends or family, that may be your best bet. However, sometimes you may need to look for someone without that kind of help. In that case, reviews can be helpful, but keep in mind who controls the reviews you are seeing. If you are uncertain about a tutor, meeting in a public place may be a good option.
