I bought a new computer for my grandson and before giving it to him I wanted to make sure it had all of the proper security programs and parental guidance features necessary for safe internet surfing. Knowing the limitations of my time and technical abilities I called on Crista at abcd Tech for help. I expected a good outcome, but I didn't realize what a blessing she turned out to be. I had purchased a new Dell on Amazon and when Crista turned it on for the first time, she found it had a major problem. She contacted the Dell Helpdesk and after going through various procedures with her they said there was an obvious defect. I elected to return the Dell, but then I was left without a computer, and time was running short. Crista went online, found a suitable replacement at a local store which I was able to purchase online, and she then picked it up! The service I received far exceeded any expectation I had and the charges are very reasonable. More than anything, I felt absolutely confident about Crista's work and her level of expertise. She is knowledgeable, professional and very pleasant to work with. I highly recommend this company to anyone who needs help with home technology.

We were experiencing difficulties with the accessing and utlilizing software/internet on our desktop HP computer, and after trying to resolve the issues ourselves and through the ATT internet services. abcd tech was recommended to me. Crista visited our home; the issues were described to her; and she sat down at the computer to address the problem. She was diligent and persistent in checking out the computer, and resolved the problem to my complete satisfaction. Not only was the problem resolved, but she also took the time to explain her procedures in an understandable manner and encouraged me to ask any questions to make me more cognizant of the efforts and results. Crista relates well to the tech-impaired person as thoughtfully and thoroughly as she does to the gosh-darn tech thing itself. She is knowledgeable and persistent: she carefully and usually quickly diagnoses the problem, and also notices and fixes other issues while she's inside the device.

Crista was so patient with my questions and the problem that I was having. She brainstormed a way to fix the solution that solved the issue I was encountering. I work from home so do not have access to a IT department! She will always be my "go-to" when I have any IT issues and I recommend her without hesitation!

My laptop was running extremely slow, like not usable slow. Crista cleaned it up and advised me to upgrade my hard drive to an SSD drive. After the cleanup and upgrade it works great!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally $75 an hour charged in 15 min increments. But, it depends on the job. If it’s something like replacing hardware or reinstalling windows, it’s a flat fee. NOTE: parts are a separate charge.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Listen to you and have you show me what's happening. Begin asking some preliminary questions and then dig into the problem. Once everything is fixed or setup, I make sure you are satisfied and don’t have additional questions.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
