Introduction

I have more than 30 years as a professional artist, and work in a variety of mediums. I have the ability to create 3D surfaces as well as the illusion of a 3D surface. I also enjoy painting children's murals. An example of my 3D work would be a giant 3 dimensional hamburger for a restaurant that I created to compliment their theme. I enjoy working with new clients, coming up with a solution that will uniquely fit their needs. Every job is different and I enjoy the challenge. I love the client's responses as they see the artwork take form and especially the finished paintings.

Leigh did a beautiful job installing wallpaper in our front entryway. She gave me great counsel on which paper would not only work best - but her pov on the design as well. I'll be using her again.

I am so pleased to have found Leigh! She did a wonderful job hanging wallpaper in our kitchen. We have an old house with plaster walls and weird little corners so I wasn't expecting that the paper would look perfect, I was just looking for decent. But Leigh's work was way beyond what I expected! The walls look smooth and the paper seams are unnoticeable. She payed great attention to details and smoothed out the walls before she started, and she was even able to paper the nooks and crannies of the walls. I was so impressed and can't recommend her enough!

Leigh did a wonderful job installing wallpaper in my powder room. My home is over 90 years old so the walls aren't always plumb - which means perfect seams are really hard to achieve. Leigh showed me where one wall was going to have an uneven seam - not her fault! - but she told me that because she's an artist, she could use her painting skills to correct any uneven spots. And she did! Everything looks beautiful. I recommend her very highly.

Leigh was a true artist! Methodical with her work and passionate about the beauty in the project and the paper. We have a 100 year old home: it makes walls, ceilings, windows not straight and easy. She did a wonderful job!!

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with the client to see the space they want painted, and access to the space. I then sit down with the client and work up quick sketches and discuss the project in some detail to make sure we are on the same page. I require a deposit to pay for materials and the design work. When we have a suitable design that the client agrees to, I begin the painting on location.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Kansas State University. I have worked as a Graphic Designer, Art Director, Teacher, Freelance Artist and Muralist.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started out as a graphic designer and illustrator. I painted murals for my own children's rooms. My paintings were fairly large to begin with so murals were a natural progression. I love public art and the purpose of art is to be seen and enjoyed. People love having their ideas come to life. I can make that happen for my clients.
