Hi, I’m Brittany Simpson, a very proud dog mom to a six year old pittie/beagle mix, who is an IVDD survivor and underwent emergency spinal surgery in late 2023.
IVDD is an often-hereditary spinal disorder that follows from the herniating of an intervertebral disc inside an afflicted dog, sometimes resulting in paralysis, as was the case with our Zora.
In addition to surgery, she completed extensive physical therapy. Months after that surprise, she fell very ill and was diagnosed with Addison’s disease — a serious condition that occurs when a dog’s adrenal glands don’t produce enough corticosteroid hormones. As a result, she requires daily oral medication and a monthly injection, for life.
[Side note: We are happy to report she is back on her feet, mobile and her medical treatment has her feeling/doing great — go, Zora, go!]
Any money made from time with your pets will go directly toward her acquired (and ongoing) medical expenses.
I’ve been welcomed into MANY homes and lives over the past year and am happy to provide recommendations at your request.
Whether you’re in need of a daily-or-weekly dog-walker or a petsitter, for overnights during vacations or travel, I’m your gal. I look forward to tending to and loving your pet as much as I do my own. 🥰
I have MANY pet clients I’ve seen weekly for the past year, and others I see every time their parents are required to travel. I truly love each and every one and am humbled to be a trusted partner for pet parents.
