- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm always willing to negotiate pricing based on factors around the event, multiple bookings, equipment being provided, etc. Working within a budget is definitely up for discussion.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a discussion with my customers about the venue to understand how my setup might be affected - how big is the room, how many people are expected, how much space will I have to set up? I also like to understand what type of music is most appropriate for the event - soft background music, livelier party music, romantic ballads? Finally I seek to be familiar with the audience - what ages, are there particular songs that will mean something to them, etc? The right type of music makes all the difference!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started singing in my company's chorus and after a few years struck out on my own to create a solo show. The music of Frank Sinatra spoke to me as some of the most amazing songs ever written, arranged, and performed, and the vocals fit my voice perfectly.
