FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge either by the hour, or on a flat-fee basis. Much of this depends on the details of each specific case. If the case is a complex one, where there is no definable timeline, I typically charge by the hour. Where the case is more straightforward and somewhat predictable, I try to charge on a flat-fee basis.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically, I will meet with clients and do a consultation, during which we will discuss the details of their case. I will then give them a summary overview, outline for them how I would handle the case, and, if they are interested in moving forward, have them sign an agreement and get started.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, High Honors, from Marian University. I then attended the IU McKinney School of Law, from which I received my J.D. While at IU-McKinney, I was also inducted into the Order of the Barristers, an honor society denoting skill in oral and written advocacy. Since starting in practice, I have handled dozens of cases ranging from Criminal to Business to Family Law.
