FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Chapter 7 fees range from a low of $800.00 to as much as $1,600.00, depending on exact circumstances. Most persons represented are charged $1,000.00 or less. This excludes court filing fees ($335.00) and third party expenses ($35.00-$100.00). Chapter 13 fees are much higher, as the services required are much greater. Professional fees in such cases are typically $4,000.00, though only 1/4 of this is paid prior to filing. The filing fee is slightly less ($310.00). Third-party expenses remain the same.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Working with a new client begins with a no-obligation initial consultation at my office. These last about one hour, sometimes a bit longer. You will speak with me, not an assistant. Evening and Saturday appointments can be arranged.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a 2003 graduate of the University of Kentucky College of Law. My practice has focused on the field of consumer debtor-creditor law since that time. All Indiana attorneys are required to complete regular continuing education courses. Like most attorneys, I try to find course offerings in my chosen field of practice.
