I am constantly learning with every job I take. I also try to stay up to date with the latests products and application techniques through blogs, networking, and professional makeup artistry news.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My interest in beauty began in the competitive ballroom dance world, where I self-taught and sharpened my skills doing makeup and hair for my competitions. Fellow amateur competitors as well as professional competitors began asking for my assistance with their hair and makeup, and I quickly fell in love with the art. I then trained and received her makeup artist certification from Chicago's only state certified, MAC approved school, MakeupFirst. MakeupFirst was founded by expert makeup artist and hair stylist Jill Glaser, and features other instructors such as renowned theater and Broadway makeup artist Dave Bova
