FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a per house basis on a flat fee for standard and deep cleaning. First time cleaning does cost a little extra because there is more work that needs to be done. I normally charge an extra $30 for first time-ins. When it comes to organizing I charge for half days ($150) and full days ($300).
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We schedule a time for an estimate. We walk around the customers house and go over all of the cleaning that is wanted in each room and how often they are needing their house to be cleaned. We also discuss if they want specific cleaners used in their home. I then give the customer a price of services for their exact needs and wants. If the price is agreed to, we find a day and time that fits into both of our schedules. The date and time does not change if they decide to go with a consistent schedule. If they pick a Tuesday at 8:00am on a bi-weekly schedule, that will be their time from that point moving forward. Unless it falls on a holiday then we will work together to reschedule their appointment.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started my first cleaning service 20 years ago right out of high school. My parents house had burnt down and my mom got fired from her job and was having a hard time finding work. I asked her if she would be interested in cleaning with me. She told me if I started and needed someone she would be my first employee. A month later she came to work and we worked together for the next 5 years until my father got sick.
