Expressive Construction did a great job on several projects for us. We first contacted them to do a small project that included painting two bathrooms (walls and cabinets), replacing a bathroom fan, and painting and replacing hardware on our interior doors. We were so happy with the results, we decided to take on another project that included painting a wall in the foyer, the full basement, and our kitchen cabinets. Each of the painting projects required extensive prepping and patching and all turned out great. Expressive took our kitchen cabinets to their facility to spray - they look brand new and painting saved us from having to invest thousands of dollars to replace them. Estimates were very competitive, questions were answered quickly, communication was constant throughout the projects, and once the work began it was completed quickly. We’re happy with the results and will work with Expressive again. Highly recommended!

TLDR; More hand holding than I would have liked and the workers don't speak English, but the price was great, the job was done quickly, and the finished product is great. Most importantly, I WOULD hire them again.
Scope: Insulate, drywall, finish, paint; install baseboard and trim and paint; install vanity, toilet, faucet, vanity mirror, and light.
The job started out a little rocky over miscommunication and work quality. I would argue that if I wasn't on site checking in on the work throughout the day, the insulation would have been done incorrectly and covered with drywall. That being said, they did rectify every issue I noted and allowed me time to fix something in the ceiling that wasn't in their scope even though they'd already put up a piece of drywall over it. So at that point we were even. The salesperson had a chat with the foreman and from then on the work was excellent and I didn't have to say anything more. They ran into and issue and just resolved it on their own and it was great.
My advice for working with this contractor is don't feel rushed to agree to the contract as initially sent over. Several details discussed were missing in the contract and after a few exchanges some things were added but some things were still missing with an assurance they would take care of it, not to worry.
They did up taking care of everything, but there were communication challenges where the foreman twice didn't see something in the scope and didn't do it and I had to point out that something else was supposed to be done. The salesperson confirmed and they did the work, but it did add a day and I don't think everybody would be as comfortable with making sure they get everything they agreed to as I was.
Another great thing is that they don't make you pay u til the job is complete, which I really appreciated, so I didn't have to worry about pushing on the job being done right and they just stop coming or drag the project out in response (have had that happen before).

I was very impressed with not only the painting process but also with all the prep work and cleanup they did. Moved and covered all my furniture and covered the floors to avoid any paint spatters. After they were done, they put all the heavy furniture back and even helped with hanging some of my heavier paintings.
They also estimated how long it would take them to complete the job and they finished within an hour of their time. Great job and I would highly recommend them!
