Gabriela was very receptive to our instant feedback, and we went back and forth on the balloon designs, patterns, colors, etc. Given the constraints of our living room space and budget, they did a beautiful job. We have a balloon decorator for all our future events. They are the best at their job, happy to recommend them!

I needed some last minute decorations hung for my wedding. I knew this was an odd request and not really balloon decor but Chicago Balloon Decor responded fairly quickly and said they could help. I was excited because I was in a bind.
When I provided them with the info they ghosted me.
I would have been fine if they just communicated that they weren't interested.

Leslie did an amazing job on some beautiful balloon decorations for a baby shower I was hosting! She helped me plan the layout, budget and even customized the balloons to match the blue theme perfectly. The mom to be was so happy and it was a great addition to the party! I ordered and paid for a 15ft decoration received and 10/12 ft decoration because she said that I didn't confirm in time but she still took the money and said she would do a 12ft decoration. She refunded me $40. The balloons came apart within an hour of hanging them

Angelica did an amazing job with the balloon decorations for my mother's 80th birthday. She was so kind and professional. She quickly responded to my initial request and was able to pull everything together within a very short time frame. We received so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the decorations turned out. I would highly recommend her and will definitely use her again for future events.

I asked them what they would charge because I was desperate for help. They never answered me.

Adrean was very professional, courteous and punctual. Will definitely work with them again and can recommend them to anyone looking for making their party look amazing and at a great price. Keko’s conceptualization and final work product is great. However, her execution and management of projects is terrible. I hired her to do my baby shower and she requested a call time 2 hours ahead of the event start as she expressed that she needed that much time to start. I signed a contract for $1600 for a balloon garland and light table table decors, centerpieces and runners, welcome sign.
Keko was an hour and 15 minutes late. When she arrived she was disheveled, disorganized and was correct that it took nearly two hours complete as she was still constructing the balloon garland 1 hour into my event. It was extremely embarrassing because guest were arriving offering to help. Lots of promises, like moving the furniture or the use of our rental company to move furniture we’re missed because everyone was there at the call time except for her.
As the guest of honor, I arrived to find her children on site and was told her son was playing with the balloons and adding a little bit to the chaos and scramble. I expressed to her that I wouldn’t have minded if she just gave me a heads up, and we could have found a space for her kids. But her stroller was blocking the entrance of the door when I arrived. My mom thought it was a gift. When Keko responded to my comment about her kids, she said the invite didn’t say no children. Completely confused by this response, I had to express to her that she was not a guest and this was an event were guest were asked not to bring kids or plus ones because of the limited space. So it felt very offputting to see her kids there as guests and caused a little confusion for my invited guest.
There’s so much more to add to such poor, poor service that Keko provided, but the most disturbing is the lack of her ability to acknowledge, take ownership and rectify the situation amicably. She only apologized for being late. 10, 15 minutes late I understand but over an hour 15 minutes leaving my family, friends and guest to help set-up for the shower is pretty egregious.
Buyer beware, her final product is great, but her execution will ruin your event because she’s just absolutely disorganized and unprofessional. I have paid $1600 for an elegant event there is a set of expectations and this was just trash. The space was cluttered because the furniture was pushed behind the balloon garland. Space was limited. Seems like such a waste.
There’s other thumbtack professionals who can give you a better overall experience without the stress, headache and gaslighting. I would stay far away. Learn from my lesson. FYI, I’m filing a formal complaint against her for breech of contract with the States Attorney’s office and filing a lawsuit this week for breech of contract.
Finally, Keko’s communication is difficult. She refused to stay on Thumbtack and us very needy and detailed in her planning. She constantly texts me all day and night. I begged her to get on a call, she sent contracts with errors that needed to be re-dove several times. We got measures for everything in the room, tables, etc…you would think she was very detailed. And when she arrived she had forgotten and didn’t do anything that was discussed or needed for those measurements. It’s unbelievable. I feel completely scammed and taken advantage of for one of the most important milestones of a baby shower.
Pics: see couches and tables jammed behind the balloon garland. Furniture took a quarter of the room creating a tight cluttered space. Paid $85 for a balloon garland sign and she placed plastic fake green garland, because she ran out of time. This was not a $1600+ experience.

I recently engaged Mimi for balloon decor for an event, and I opted for 8 table centerpieces and a backdrop for $400. The designs were indeed captivating, especially the backdrop which elevated the ambiance of our venue. The table centerpieces were beautifully crafted and matched the theme perfectly.
However, my main concern was the ownership aspect. After paying a premium price, I was surprised to learn that I had to return several parts of the centerpieces to the vendor post-event. This was a bit of an inconvenience and something I believe should be made clearer during the initial agreement.
For future clients, I'd recommend clarifying terms of ownership and rental items to avoid any post-event surprises.
UPDATE:
I'd like to acknowledge the prompt and considerate response from Mimi of Jasamara Design. After my initial review, Mimi kindly offered to refund $100 of the amount I paid, which I appreciate. Additionally, she graciously allowed me to retain the centerpiece parts for my sister's wedding taking place a week later. It's commendable to see a business willing to address feedback and ensure customer satisfaction. While the initial experience had its bumps, the resolution provided by Mimi demonstrates her dedication to her clients.
