- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Lessons are scheduled for a regular weekly time and are paid for in groups of 5. 30 minutes each week = $270 for 5 lessons($54 per lesson) 45 minutes each week = $360 for 5 lessons($72 per lesson) 60 minutes each week = $450 for 5 lessons($90 per lesson)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start with a no-charge meeting to get acquainted and discuss the student's goals and how we can approach those goals. I take special care in being flexible to meet the individual needs of all of my students. My goal is to teach my students how to teach themselves. I achieve this by helping my students better understand their strengths and weaknesses and by helping them develop their practice skills and understanding of music.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I completed a Master of Music degree in jazz piano at Northern Illinois University in 2007. Prior to that I obtained a bachelor's degree in music at Ball State University. I've been performing solo and in many different groups throughout the region since my first years in college. In addition to my training in music, I have pursued a personal interest in mindfulness and compassionate communication.
