FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For Interior Decorating customers the first step is to have a consultation, walk through the space and other rooms in the house to get a feel for the customer's style. I also measure the room or rooms in question if we are a good fit and decide to move forward. Then I go to work and create a floor plan, and start conceptualizing the room. I research all furniture, accessories, window treatments, area rugs and finishes to match customers budget. Once everything has been approved we start purchasing and schedule deliveries and installation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Certified Interior Decorator by C.I.D international and current hold membership with the organization as well. I learned my Organizational logistics skills from My years as a Chef. I helped design restaurants concepts and kitchens.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Once I had kids I stopped working in the restaurant industry to focus on my family, but I found the need to stay busy doing something I love. My friends and family always complemented how beautiful and organized I kept my house even with two toddlers running around. So I started helping out neighbors, family and friends to decorate rooms in their homes or reimagine storage and closet spaces and found myself loving to do it. That's when I decided to turn my hobby into a business.
