- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I give discounts for multiple students tutored in the same hour. Regarding cancellations, I realize that life happens and cancellations/rescheduling needs to occur. If I have not left for the job, there is no charge. If I am on my way and you have to cancel, I charge half. If I get to the job and there is a cancellation, then I charge the full rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I speak with the customer by phone or Zoom and answer any questions and concerns they may have. At the first meeting I assess the student and discuss an academic plan for the student regarding how I feel I can best help the student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been teaching high English (freshmen through AP Literature) for twenty years. I have been tutoring for over ten years. I also teach a prep class for the reading, English and writing portions of the ACT and SAT.
