Ms. A is a fabulous music teacher! My child always looked forward to his music lesson and has learned so much on the recorder. Ms. A not only teaches the music lesson, but goes at a pace that perfectly suited my child's needs. She strives to also instill a love of music. It is clear that this teacher love music and loves what she does. Highly Recommend!

I couldn’t ask for a better teacher than Ms. Music (aka Ms. A). My son was struggling with understanding how to read the notes on the staff, and now he really gets it! And he had fun learning it! He wishes she could be his music teacher all the time (so do I.)

Ms A was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, flexible and responsive when she taught my child. She has always been willing to work with both parents and kids when challenges arise. Her over 20 years of experience in the classroom and with private lessons make her a perfect choice for any musical training and in the past 2 years she's become adept at the new tech formats required for online instruction.

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I cater the entire lesson around the person and his or her needs. I start out by getting to know them a little bit. Then I ask questions about their goals in learning about music theory, if there’s something specific they would like to learn or do they want to grow in their general knowledge of it.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

In August 2022, I will begin my 24th year as a music teacher. I’ve dedicated my entire life to music and music education. I spent approximately 20 years singing in many different choirs. I have a Music Education degree and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I taught students ages 5-60 who had a wide range of skills, knowledge, experiences and learning styles.
