After 2 failed attempts with a large local contractor, ASAP came, on a Saturday afternoon no less, and got us up and running with the new unit and installation for slightly more than what the others wanted for just the labor. Not knocking on the others, I understand the business model, but it was nice to get good service in a pinch without taking out a second mortgage.

A few hiccups with supplies and scheduling, plus it seemed to take quite a bit longer than estimated (mostly due to the internal unit work - so plan/budget extra time). But they went above and beyond to get a good replacement AC in for a very fair price on a very hot, humid day. Two workers, both respectful and professional (which by the way is rare from contractors in this city, but I learned later that ASAP is out of Illinois, so that explains a lot). After they left, I noticed one of the stabilizing brackets was not properly screwed to the joist for the line to the compressor. The screw is there but nowhere near the bracket, which is odd; I think the screws are just too short for the joist thickness. It's a small thing and easy to fix...but goes to quality control. Also they replaced the old, damaged, frequently clogging not-quite-PEX drain line with PVC, but the drain is about half a foot further than the end of the length they put in. Again, easy to fix (ideally it goes all the way so water doesn't need to touch the floor and there's no accessible opening). Cleanup was 99% good - they left the dock crate that the outside unit ships on. Again, minor thing.

They were quick to reply and were able to come out the next day to replace both the furnace and AC. They were also the most affordable out of their competition. Would definitely use them again and recommend them.

It was a little difficult getting this accomplished. First appointment was not fulfilled. Second appointment, tech showed up , but wasn’t able to deal with my equipment. He did tell me that it probably wasn’t critical for maintenance since system is only three years old.
