Introduction

I like to create paintings that are engaging and more than just a headshot. I like to tell stories and find little moments that make people go wow! I have been painting pretty much all my life and have truly honed my craft to what it is today. I have work hanging in many private collections and have been shown in galleries all around the world. Most of my paintings are acrylic on canvas (various sizes).

Working with Phil made the whole portrait process easy and fun. I sent him multiple pictures and he worked to incorporate all of them into our painting. He had great ideas and was open to suggestions. Our painting is a family keepsake that we will cherish for years to come.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I believe my pricing is realistic and fair for the amount of work it takes to complete a piece. I calculated that my average price is around $75 per day on a job that can take up to 10 days or more. I paid my handyman $150 for 2 hours of work fixing a gutter!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to meet with my clients and talk about what they want to achieve in the work ... a wedding piece, an heirloom, a simple family portrait ... I then draft out a sketch of what I envisage and get approval to move to the finished piece.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a degree in communications art and spent 3 years at the Manchester Metropolitan University (UK) studying illustration.
