Introduction
I have been teaching and playing music for nearly 20 years and over that time I have learned not just how to teach music, but why I love to do so.
My goal as a teacher is to give you freedom. I want you to experience the joy of holding your instrument knowing you have the skills to play confidently. I want to give you the confidence and understanding to learn new and exciting things outside of the lesson room. I want to give you the joy of music that you can enjoy forever.
Whether you're a beginner who is looking to start playing, an intermediate player who is ready to take their playing and understanding to the next level or an advanced player looking for a new perspective on things, I will custom tailor our lessons to help you achieve your goals and beyond.
I focus my curriculum around achieving tangible goals that translate into real world application of musical skills.

My son started with Mike as a beginner on guitar, and over the years had helped him develop his skills and flourish as a musician. He’s an encouraging and inspiring teacher, and is one of those rare individuals that connects with kids on their level and makes learning fun. When your kid practices without complaint, you know you’ve hit on something special. We couldn’t have asked for a better teacher and mentor!

I’ve enjoyed having Mike as my bass instructor. He keeps students engaged and motivated during lessons and always makes it fun! His knowledge and the care he gives during your lessons makes you want to learn more and a better player for sure! Highly recommend for any level!

I have been taking lessons from Mike for about 6 years. He has helped me grow as a bass player and performer. He gives positive feedback and productive lessons. A really nice and patient teacher for students of all levels.

Mike is great! I have been playing the guitar for close to 20 years and still learn new things from him every week. My 9 year old nephew is also learning and Mike is able to keep his interest by learning popular songs that he and his friends enjoy. My favorite thing is going to see my teacher perform in his various bands and he has even shown up to my performances for support. 10/10 would recommend!!!
