Introduction

We offer private, in-home training lessons for you and your dog. In the wild, a dog’s mother and older pack members instinctively guide them to learn skills for survival. In your home, your dog is looking for a leader to establish rules/boundaries and guide them. Without a leader, your dog will try to lead. The result is leash pulling, jumping, excessive barking, nipping, pent-up energy, anxiety and aggression. The solution to ALL of these problems is found by using our leadership-based training. Always Faithful Dog Training will empower you to be a CALM, CONFIDENT LEADER. We don't use treats or shock collars, rather we build a strong, trusting relationship. Then we build on obedience and resolve unwanted behaviors. We train dogs of all ages with a range of services from obedience to behavior modification, therapy dog and service dog training.

I have known Despy for many years. She is a patient and discerning trainer knowing not all animals respond to the same technique. Despy has raised two amazing dogs with different personalities in the years I have known. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We are very transparent with our prices -- they are clearly displayed on our website. The proper package will become clear during our assessment visit based on an evaluation of your dog's behavior/environment and your goals. We are happy to work with you to find the perfect solution.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a phone conversation to get a brief overview of your needs. Step 2 is an assessment visit to meet you and your dog(s). We'll dive deep into understanding all of your dog's behaviors and habits, then discuss the best training package, our methodology and set goals. Then we proceed with approximately weekly (depending on your schedule) lessons. We'll work with you and your dog for 30-45 minutes depending on your dog's ability. We give you documentation and homework to do in between lessons. Your involvement and commitment to reinforcing the lessons is essential for long term success.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our trainers are all certified by the Instinctive Dog Trainers Association and are part of the nationwide Always Faithful Dog Training organization. Our trainers undergo indepth training and benefit from consistent ongoing education and support. In existence since 2003, our trainers combined have trained over 60,000 dogs.
