FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I keep my pricing low because pianos have to be tuned at least (in my opinion), once a month...The more you tune it, the longer it holds and the unisons stay uniformly together. Of course it'll drop in pitch but it should all drop together. That's accomplished by setting the pins correctly.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to ask one or more general questions about the instrument: How often is it played, how long has it been sitting in the room it's in, when was it last tuned, or moved, how long have you owned it, how many owners, etc.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Berklee College of Music graduate '96 in Film Scoring. Being legally blind as enabled me to hear in depth what I've never really heard before in terms of vibrating beats vs tonality.
