As a DJ, my typical process for working with a new customer involves several steps to ensure that I understand their needs and preferences and can deliver a memorable experience tailored to their event. Here's an outline of my process: Initial Inquiry: The process often begins with the customer reaching out to inquire about my services. This could be through email, phone call, or a direct message here on Thumbtack. Consultation: Once I receive the inquiry, I schedule a consultation with the customer. This can be done in person, over the phone, or through video call, depending on the customer's preference and availability. During the consultation, I take the time to get to know the customer, their vision for the event, and any specific requests or requirements they may have. Event Details: I gather all the necessary details about the event, including the date, time, location, and any special considerations such as venue restrictions or equipment needs. This information helps me plan accordingly and ensure that everything runs smoothly on the day of the event. Customization: Based on the customer's preferences and event theme, I customize the music selection and playlist to create the perfect atmosphere. I also discuss any additional services they may require, such as lighting, MC services, or special effects. Contract and Deposit: Once all the details are confirmed, I provide the customer with a contract outlining the terms of our agreement, including pricing, services provided, and payment schedule. A 50% deposit is typically required to secure the date and reserve my services for their event. Pre-Event Preparation: Leading up to the event, I stay in communication with the customer to finalize any remaining details and address any last-minute changes or requests. I conduct a final walkthrough of the venue if possible to familiarize myself with the setup and ensure that everything is in order. Event Execution: On the day of the event, I arrive early to set up my equipment and ensure that everything is ready to go before the guests arrive.
