Lena Janes Dance & Acting

Hello! My name is Lena and I am an actor, dancer, choreographer, and instructor based in Chicago. DANCE: I have been dancing for 15+ years, and teaching for 9. I love to teach a breadth of styles including jazz, contemporary, tap, and ballet, and my favorite is musical theatre dance. My teaching experience spans ages 3-adult. I have choreographed for plays, musicals, fashion shows, and more, in addition to directing competition dance teams. I also previously judged nationally for Precision Arts Challenge dance competition and was promoted to Head Judge after one season. ACTING: I booked my first professional production at age 4 and haven't stopped since. I have directed and produced both musicals and plays, and have professional expertise to share in both stage and film acting. I love teaching private lessons because it allows me to help students set, work toward, and achieve their personal goals, as well as supplement and strengthen any additional training.
