- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Except for real estate closings, total fees and whether an engagement can be done for a fixed flat fee can vary based on the complexity of the engagement and when new facts surface.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to listen to new clients and ask questions so I can fully understand the facts of their situation. I ask that if there are relevant documents, I be provided them to review. In some instances, like when doing a will and estate plan, I have a questionairre that I require be completed. After I feel I have learned everything there is to be learned, I will render my honest legal opinion as to the situation and recommendation for action or inaction. Then, it's the client's decision on what to do. If a client wants to proceed, we'll then discuss and execute a legal services agreement.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Loyola University Chicago School of Law at night while working full-time after working for several years after college. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business Administration from Knox College.
