Several projects, large and small - - all done with enthusiasm and a high quality of both effort and detail. Listens and responds to ongoing discussions if minor changes are desired. Good craftsman as well.

Dave was great to work with. His bids were fair for both the deck repairs as well as the roof replacement. He was clear in his bids listing exactly what was included. If he encountered anything unexpected he not only explained them clearly but also included photos to clarify the situation. He was very responsive to any questions we had. If additional work was required that he wasn't able to perform, like electric and septic, he helped connect us to others who could do the work equally easy to work with. We were very satisfied with the results.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

Phone consultations: Free On-site consultation: $50 Hourly rate: $50 per man hour Project minimum: $250 The hourly time begins the moment we arrive at your location and ends when we leave at the end of each workday. Extra time may also be added for materials acquisition time spent in supply houses.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

After a phone consultation we will determine what all is entailed in the project and decide what tools we need to bring as well as materials if needed. Sometimes it is necessary to do an on site consultation and estimate for larger and more complicated projects. Phone consultations are free, but there is a $50 charge for on site consultation. If you are just wanting us to show up and do some repairs by the hour, the rate is $50 an hour and begins the moment we arrive at your location and ends at the completion of each workday until project completion. Additional charges for time spent acquiring materials at supply houses will also apply. Most materials can be acquired in route to the job site. Due to the complexity of some projects, runs to get materials may to be necessary during the workday; we strive to keep all materials runs to a bare minimum and try to acquire materials needed on the way to and from the job each day saving everybody time and money. We strive to run things as efficiently as possible.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I am a third-generation handyman. It just runs in the blood. I enjoy working with people and helping them make repairs and improve their home and quality of life.
