- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have Flat Rate Pricing. You pay a "Flat" rate or "Fixed" Price for our services. We do not itemize every little detail of the call. For example, lets say you hire Modern for a service call, we come out to your home, we diagnose the failed heating or cooling appliance for the service call fee ($129). We then make a few recommendations and let you decide. Let say the Condenser fan motor is locked up, We recommend that you replace the motor and run capacitor. We charge you $600-$900 + Tax, depending on the motor size and brand. That price reflects our time and materials, insurance and fuel and all the other good things it takes to run a honest business. If you choose to move forward with the repair, we then waive the service call fee. If you decide you don't want to replace the part - no big deal, all you owe is $129 + Tax.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like them to call us directly. We have questions for them about their project, their goals and to make sure we are sending the right Pro to their home. We like to have their phone number, address and email address. Our software will alert them via text and/ or email on when we are coming to their home and when we might arrive. We like to email them pictures along with invoices that they can pay online. Its easy and our customers love it!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
25 years of experience. We continually educate ourselves by attending product and safety training for heating cooling appliances.
