FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm pretty straightforward. If I'm offering a discount, it will be presented to you from the jump. I will always offer discounts to: Veterans/Active Military, Senior Citizens and ADA. I don't charge any fees, but if we're halfway through a project and we want to change something, there may be fees associated with a change order, depending on how large of a change we're making.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First thing we'll do is get on a phone call. This allows us to get a brief introduction with eachother, and decide if your project is something that we can do. After that, we'll set up a time to meet on-site (whether it's your home, parents/grandparents home, office, etc.) and figure out a full scope of work. This allows me to take photos to reference back to while I'm building you an estimate. Lastly, I'll put together the estimate and email that over to you and/or give you a call so we can talk about the ins and outs, where you can then decide if we should move forward or not.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Fresh out of high school, I started working for a General Contractor. I worked for him for 3 years doing everything from rough framing to finish carpentry. After that, I moved to a company where I learned how to properly estimate work. Finally, after some time estimating, I found myself wanting to get back to getting my hands dirty, so I started BluePit. The rest is history :)
