Performing traditionals and originals with modern arrangements and contemporary influences, the Kilt Lifters share traditional Celtic music in a fresh way. Live performances weave together music, history and storytelling with unique instrumentation, including nyckelharpa, 7-string electric violin, banjo and flute.

Working with The Kilt Lifters was an outstanding experience. They are true professionals - displaying both musical expertise and adept coordination. Band leader Chris Carr provided timely updates and was responsive to communication. He ensured the band arrived at the venue sufficiently early to complete set up and sound checks in a way that did not delay the show or distract patrons. The set started on time and captured the crowd's attention with a great starting song. The playlist and song introductions kept the audience engaged and dancing. I look forward to working with The Kilt Lifters again!

Great band, great talent in this band. They can do things other bands cannot. They go beyond the norm and entertain you to the max! Someone would be a fool not to hire this group because they will give you much more than you need and they will do it well!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our minimum fee is $1250 for a 2 man show, up to 3 hours in length. Because every event is different, we scale upwards to a 5 piece band. We'd love to put together a custom quote tailored to your special event.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We discuss the customer's needs, provide a contract, then execute. Simple as that! We are no muss, no fuss and will do everything possible to deliver the best possible experience for the customer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Between us, we cumulatively have over 100 years of musical training and experience. Our lead instrumentalists boasts a Master's degree from music conservatory.
