About my coaching:
I'm Sara (she/her) and I live on Maui, and I love coaching adult singers (age 14+) online.
I specialize in making technique accessible to those just beginning to find their voice in any genre. My JOY is in guiding all levels of singer through holistic mind and body-centered vocal trust techniques, so that you can experience more freedom in your voice. I ask the deep and important questions that lead to Efficient and Sustainable vocal growth.
*I believe that in order to become a resilient, potent singer, we have to really get to know our mind*.
Because I don't shy away from working with the root layers that affect your singing, alongside the technique, I can take you from timid in the background to CONFIDENTLY reaching your goals in less than 6 months. But you have to put in the time every day.
Disclaimer: When you learn how to use your voice effectively and sing with less fear and apprehension, the courage you gain starts to affect other parts of your life. I've had students get lead roles in musicals, leave unhealthy relationships, and even quit their job where they weren't happy. All when they began singing in front of audiences and learning to let their voice be FREE.
**I always say that I don’t teach you how to use your voice, I teach you how to LEARN to use your voice**- it’s your unique instrument inside your unique body.
We are working in the physical realm with technique, but more importantly, with your belief system around your voice and what is 'good' as well as what is holding you back from the spotlight and keeping you small. I want to see you reach your vocal dreams in 6 months.
I've been coaching for 7 years and singing for over 20 and it’s one of my favorite things to do in the world. I am well-versed in many different genres and methods, and I am able to take what YOU need and find the best approach for your voice. I can cover a lot of ground, but my specialties are in musical theater and pop.
More About Me: I have played Mary Poppins, covered Led Zeppelin and top 40 hits, and I released my first original album in Dec 2020, called Holes (feel free to look me up on streaming). I am writing, recording and releasing more songs constantly and love making music that feels like me and inspires you to feel your feelings more deeply. My goal is to get my songs on my favorite TV shows and I just got my first placement. I grew up in Northern Colorado and I speak a little Japanese.
