I have been in this industry professionally since 2005. I worked as a beauty consultant, makeup artist, and a beauty instructor at a local esthetics school here in Hawaii where I earned my Beauty Operator license (#BEO-22083) I also have experience in hairstyling as there is a high demand for it in this business. I have provided makeup and hair styling services for an array of events including weddings, proms/formals, photo shoots, vow renewals, bodybuilding competitions, baby showers, and birthday parties. My main goal is to make sure that my clients are happy when they leave my chair. There are times when clients who don’t normally wear makeup may feel anxious to get it done for the fear of not looking like themselves. I create a look that will enhance the natural beauty as well as be the best and most appropriate for the event. The reaction on my client's face when they see their makeup is truly priceless and uplifting to me.

I was in Honolulu for my son’s wedding and I’d hired Amber to do my hair and makeup for the event. Amber came to my hotel and she made me look like a $gazillion! My hair and makeup were on point! Amber was so easy to work with, communicative, and made me look and feel my best. She asked questions while she did my make up to ensure I knew exactly the look that she was helping me create. She was punctual and updated me on arrival during traffic. I would highly recommend her for any event where you want to look glamorous or polished. Her prices are extremely reasonable, and I feel that the value of service was well worth it. It was wonderful to be able to get my hair and makeup done at the hotel where the event was held. Absolutely amazing, hands down makeup and hair services. I wish I could take Amber with me to Chicago:) She came right in time even few minutes earlier so she can set everything up. Her makeup and hair products were top of the line like Charlotte Tilbury, Mac , WOW, professional L’Oréal for hair. I was super impressed by her selection. All of her brushes and tools were super clean and everything was very organized. I was getting full glam makeup and she curled my hair. My two daughters ages 9 and 12 got their hair done and also a mini makeup( they were flower girls). Amber is a true artist and a wonderful person to work with . She is super patient , open to suggestions and current with all the new trends. I highly recommend her for any makeup or hair needs and definitely be booking her again when I return to Hawaii:)

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have had a love for makeup since I was in middle school. I would watch my mom apply her makeup and be simply fascinated by her beauty. In highschool, I was known for my makeup, and I did several makeovers on my friends for banquets and proms. Since then I've only become more passionate about makeup.

I have done many weddings, and during prom season, I always get busy with my work.
