I have been in this industry professionally since 2005. I worked as a beauty consultant, makeup artist, and a beauty instructor at a local esthetics school here in Hawaii where I earned my Beauty Operator license (#BEO-22083) I also have experience in hairstyling as there is a high demand for it in this business. I have provided makeup and hair styling services for an array of events including weddings, proms/formals, photo shoots, vow renewals, bodybuilding competitions, baby showers, and birthday parties. My main goal is to make sure that my clients are happy when they leave my chair. There are times when clients who don’t normally wear makeup may feel anxious to get it done for the fear of not looking like themselves. I create a look that will enhance the natural beauty as well as be the best and most appropriate for the event. The reaction on my client's face when they see their makeup is truly priceless and uplifting to me.

I booked Amber for hair and makeup for my wedding, and I’m so glad I chose her! As someone who usually wears very little makeup and always wears my natural curly hair, I was a little nervous about not looking or feeling like myself on my wedding day. Amber listened to my concerns and vision and was so thoughtful and intentional in her approach. I wanted a natural look, just a little glammed up for my special day, and Amber did an amazing job. I felt so beautiful and truly like a princess. My hair and makeup held ALL DAY, which was incredible considering we had an outdoor beach wedding and it was almost 90 degrees and SO windy! Amber is a pro! As a curly girl, I also really appreciated Amber’s experience and care with curly hair. :) And on top of all that, Amber was so easy to work with! She’s incredibly kind, professional, and caring, and I’m so glad she was part of my special day.

How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have had a love for makeup since I was in middle school. I would watch my mom apply her makeup and be simply fascinated by her beauty. In highschool, I was known for my makeup, and I did several makeovers on my friends for banquets and proms. Since then I've only become more passionate about makeup.

I have done many weddings, and during prom season, I always get busy with my work.
