I love what I do! I love for the stories clients tell me stories about little moments when it was clear that their body, health, and fitness had improved. As a fitness coach, my goal is to improve your health by helping you to dive deep into the thoughts, habits, and circumstances that led you to your current fitness level. Let's change your mindset so that exercise and nutrition improvement are fun and exciting, not chores. When you're enjoying the work, the aesthetics will follow. I work around your schedule and needs to make sure that our sessions fit neatly into your life. - You can only train at 7pm? Great, I'll be there! - You want to train at home or at a park? I'm coming! - You're recovering from a surgery? We'll work around it. - Traveling? I'll meet you on Zoom or write you a program. You can rely on me to listen to what you tell me about your body and to find solutions that make the exercise feel great! I have a combined 30 years of training experience in competitive swimming, sprint and distance running, weightlifting/strength training, dance, various circus disciplines, and coaching. Understanding the movement patterns of these different sports has given me tools to approach fitness and technique from multiple perspectives. We work out in whatever capacity works best for you. If you want to be at home, we'll use what you have there and work to improve your arsenal. At the park, we can use my smaller weights and bands to create a killer workout! We can also work in a gym of your choice! With a NASM certification in Nutrition Coaching, my approach to nutrition is to make small changes to your current diet over time so that the changes are sustainable for the rest of your life. Our relationship with food is deep and emotional so I believe it is ineffective to attempt doing a radical nutrition overhaul. Just like I would never ask a new runner to run a marathon right off the bat, I'd also never ask a desert-lover to quit sugar! As your coach, I aim to be that last fitness professional you ever hire. Consultations are free, and the results are priceless! Let's get started!

I highly recommend Zac as a personal trainer. I’ve been working out for years on my own but decided to hire a trainer to get some new workout routines. Not only did I learn many new exercises, he also helped me to fix all of my bad habits as well as teach me how to better position my body to get the maximum benefit from each exercise. He listened very well to my workout goals and limitations (previous bicycle accident injury) and aligned my workouts accordingly. He’s very professional, personable, kind, punctual and fun to work out with. I always looked forward to my sessions with him! Again, I highly recommend Zac. Whether you’re new to working out, or if you just need a workout restart, you will benefit from his expertise.

Zac is the best personal trainer I've worked with (and continue to work with)! Zac is an expert on the human body and takes the time to educate as well as train. Because of Zac, I have built not only strength, definition, and flexibility, but confidence in the gym and a keen understanding of what exercises to do to impact specific muscle groups. Zac is an incredible listener and keen observer, often anticipating my needs before I do. He will adjust our session plan on the fly depending on those needs, ensuring I do not injure myself while still getting a good workout. Finally, Zac is a calming presence breath of fresh air. I have a very demanding job and find I carry that tension around with me. An hour working out with Zac not only rejuvinates my body, but my soul. I feel refreshed and ready to enjoy life.

Zac works with you to understand your own goals and life style habits and develops incredible, custom programs to help meet those needs. Zac has completely changed my life. I went into my 30s completely clueless about fitness and nutrition, and with very low self-esteem. Right away, Zac made me feel so comfortable and seen. He is encouraging, patient, kind, and funny. He crafts workouts based on my needs, both long-term and short-term, and will continually check in to ensure goal alignment. I worked with Zac twice a week for two years. Before him, I was exercising maybe once a week, now I exercise almost every day. Fitness transformed from the most intimidating aspect of my life to the most rewarding. After training with Zac, I am fearless in the gym and look forward to moving my body every day.
