I graduated from Dokkyo university in Saitama, Japan, and majored in hospitality and tourism. I was a former flight attendant for ANA (All Nippon Airways) living in Tokyo, Japan until I moved to Hawaii in 2016. I’m now a flight attendant for American Airlines. I took classes to become a teacher at university, and have been teaching Japanese almost 10 years now. I can help you with conversation skills, correct pronunciation and proper grammar. I usually use a textbook called ‘Genki’ for my lessons. I provide the textbook so you don’t have to buy it. With ‘Genki’ we can work on various grammar points, vocabulary building, situational role playing, pronunciation, and plenty of exercises to improve your listening and speaking skills. I try my best to keep the classes as relaxed as possible so that you can feel comfortable speaking and can learn at your own pace. I only do lessons over Skype or FaceTime, so no in-person lessons. The 5 stars are definitely not for clout, she is a exceptional teacher. Miku san teaching style is a combination of experience, knowledge, patience and understanding. I’ve learned more than I would in a group as she gives the attention needed for you to grasp what’s being taught.

Lessons are sometimes cancelled without notice. Scheduling sometimes occurs at the last minute -- the day of or day before. It's strange because the instructor was, initially, very punctual.
