- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I discuss the event with the client over the phone, making sure we are a good fit for each other. Then I have a face to face meeting with the client to go over the event timeline, music preferences, themes, and their ideas. I'll call 1-2 weeks before the event to make sure everything is laid out exactly as the client wants it, and to go over any last minute song requests. Finally, I arrive at the event 1-2 hours ahead of time for setup to ensure an excellent event.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I'm subscribed to the largest three DJ trade magazines to keep an eye on new technology. I listen to new music daily, and continuously practice live mixing at home and on my radio show. I also attend a yearly trade show, Mobile Beat, where I keep up with the latest technology and wedding trends.
