FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The cost of tree work depends on a variety of factors such as the location of the tree, its height and size, the condition of the tree, urgency of removal, accessibility, obstacles, and surroundings. The equipment required to safely cut the tree also affects the cost. The costs of manual labor each day, maintaining equipment, chainsaws, machinery, fuel, and inflation in our economy all contribute to the rising cost of tree work. Larger trees typically cost more to remove because of the necessary equipment involved, the amount of debris to clean up, the complexity and riskiness of the job. Tree removal is also expensive due to the high cost of insurance premiums that tree removal companies must pay for liability coverage. We at Planet Tree Service offer you a fair price for professional work. Be wary of much cheaper estimates, they may cut their costs in ways you may not realize until it's too late.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I grew up in a small, rural town and wood was the main source of energy to cook our food. My grandmother had a bakery so she used a lot of wood to cook the breads. My father, my grandfather and I would go into the forest with our machetes in search of trees to cut for firewood. It was hard work but I learned to appreciate nature and what the trees provided us.
