- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My undergrad degree is actually in Apparel Design & Merchandising and I have always been an artist and loved to eat! I was my father‘s sous chef my entire life so that was my first training ground. Through college and after, I assisted with various productions from theatre arenas to living rooms and got a feel for working in different environments and circumstances. Finally, my continued training and experience in my corporate career, helps me balance and translate skills to my business that fuel its success.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
My father is a retired military executive chef, who taught me everything I know in the kitchen. Growing up, being his assistant was not a choice, but now I am so grateful for everything that I learned! He is the epitome of what it means to to operate in culinary excellence and I strive to execute my services with the same attention to detail and passion. As we traveled, my mother created beautiful surroundings in our home and inspired amazing memories for us around the meals that my father prepared. These experiences influenced me so heavily when I left home that I found myself preparing meals for anyone and everyone that I could, trying to create the same experience. Naturally, this love for creating amazing dining experiences and memories spilled over into catering!
