Introduction
[ *** I work in Savannah/Low Country/FL, AS WELL AS in Atlanta/North GA; please look below for a link to my 200+ reviews (!) from my North GA Thumbtack account *** ] We go the extra length to find a solution. and consider having to tell the customer to "start over" a failure on our part. Helping people who have only been told to "Buy A New hard drive/computer," is fundamental, as these machines sometimes just need a little attention/upgrade to keep on working for you; Stretch that investment as long as possible I say(!). I am not looking to get rich off of every single job. I am instead looking to build a customer base. Our typical $80 fee is 1/2 hour of labor that both identifies the issue and (in most cases) also applies as the labor to fix it. Parts needed will be extra; I can price them or the customer can obtain them themselves -- of course then they are responsible for functionality and correctness of part. My data recovery $150 service (less for thumbdrives- depending on capacity), if I cannot get the data, pretty much ensures that opening it will be the only way to go; that's why I don't charge the full fee if I cannot get it.

Craig Washington was the representative from COC Enterprises. First impression was excellent. Craig called and indicated a price to fix the problem. Price quoted was very fair and very reasonable. He arrived to the house within an hour of our phone conversation and introduced himself and went right to work. Craig worked on our problem for 2 hours and stayed with it until the problem was resolved. He was very knowledgeable and professional, providing a complete and detailed explanation of everything he was doing and why he was doing it. It took him longer than he anticipated but he still charged just the price that he initially quoted. Very impressive indeed. I would highly recommend COC Enterprises to anyone needing assistance with a computer. If necessary, I will definately uses his services again. ART & CATHY BRUNO

Contacted pro to fix a laptop that became disconnected at the base of the screen and to fix a power issue it was having. The first issue was fixed. However, the second one was not. The power issue had NOT been resolved. The pro knew this and did NOT inform me. I contacted him, and that's when he told me the laptop was still having the power issue. When it was returned to me, it was still inoperable. I had to call another pro to solve the power issue.

COC Enterprises's reply
😳 Customer has some of her facts confused; she handed me a computer saying only that her daughter said it was “messed up.“ There was clearly a physical problem with it, as the entire display assembly was hanging loose from the rest of the laptop. The customers words were “it powers on, but there’s no video.“ Not surprising(!) When I received the machine, the first thing I did was to reattach the hanging loose display assembly – and the disconnected video cable - to restore video to the screen, and only then noticed that the machine was not powering on, as I was told it was by the customer. Once assembled I Powered on the computer & the screen staying on for a split second, then immediately the machine turned off. I immediately thought battery, but then discovered a power management reset restored everything. The machine turned on, I was able to login, the battery was charging, the laptop turned off and turned on repeatedly. I sent a picture of the computer while on at the login page to the customer - she was satisfied. For some reason, by the time customer received the machine back, the problem reappeared. She informed me, and she asked if there was some type of pinhole power-reset button on the machine, like you find on other electronic devices. I told her there was not, unfortunately, and told her that she needed a hold down the power button to do a power management reset, like I did. That was my last response from the customer until this disappointing review. Customer never informed me that she was unsuccessful in resetting the power management. Customer never contacted me to ask me to pick up the computer again. She instead decided to lash out at me for a problem that I did not know existed (nor did she!) when I first picked up the machine, and a problem that I did not know she did not resolved when I instructed her how to do so. The “pro knew this, and did NOT inform me” Is at best The customer simply being confused; at worst it is a outright lie trying to blame someone for something to make themselves feel better. If anyone is truly interested, you can contact me and I will send you the text exchange between the customer and myself, where it clearly shows that: (1) she never knew about the power issue until I told her about it, (2) I did tell her about the issue when I discovered it, she knew nothing about it, and was open to replacing the battery, until I discovered that only a power management reset was needed, and (3) I sent her the repair procedure that I used to reset the power management unit, and that was the last response I received from her until this unfortunate review.
