FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer single session and also a 4 session package. You decide if you pay by the session or for the package at a slightly discounted rate. Most clients go 4 sessions. Individuals looking for a "tune up" often go 3 sessions. We have found that 3-4 sessions with specific feedback is transformational to clients' careers with the impact to their skills and confidence! After your time, you will know how to walk PAST the nerves, create a solid message and presentation and rock your delivery! At this time, we offer discounts for the following: if you work for a NonProfit 501c3, are currently pursuing a degree, working toward a wedding toast, or if you are out of work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1) Have a 15 minute phone call to discuss what you want to accomplish and your speaking concerns. We discuss the coaching process, and it gives you a chance to ask me questions to make sure you feel we're a good fit. No cost and no commitment required for this time. This also allows me to begin customizing the sessions to your needs and desires. 2) If we move to 1:1 coaching, we meet for about 50 minute sessions. The sessions are conducted through Zoom video conferences. Each session, there will be a small assignment to prepare. The sessions and coaching feedback build on one another to keep you improving and using specific tools to grow your confidence! 3) After each session, you receive an email with next steps and the details of the next assignment. Certainly, if you have questions in between, we're available to connect.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've spent 5 years in public speaking training through Toastmasters and earned an Advanced Communicator Certification, but this did me NO GOOD when I got in front of my first VP meeting at Coca-Cola. (Happy to share that story). It forced me to understand the root of nervousness and how to navigate it, and that's what I teach. In the past 15 years, I've given over 40 prepared talks to audiences ranging from 20 to 300 outside of work. He have also given countless presentations (largely using Power Point) in my work to C-suite executives at Coca-Cola and Amyris, Inc. My vocational background is in Sales and IT/Analytics. For many years, I helped people develop through small groups at Coca-Cola, and it eventually evolved in to the curriculum for Speaking Up Your Game! I find immense joy helping people grow their confidence and speaking abilities. Communicating effectively is one of the most important skills you can develop. If done well, it impacts your confidence in life, at work and in your reputation with others! Over the long run, the ability to communicate effectively impacts your vocational life, which is often directly related to your income!
