Karl was great to work with from the start! From his prompt response time to his detailed questions about our musical preferences, he did an incredibly thorough job. As a bride, you can become easily overwhelmed by all of the tasks on your "to-do list," but DJ KP was the least of my concerns! It was so nice to know that he was on top of everything and that I could count on him to show up and do an awesome job. I checked "DJ" off my list immediately when I met DJ KP, and you should do the same!

We hired Karl to make a mix of music for our wedding and he did a outstanding job. Our tastes were well represented, the mix kept the dance floor full and we got a lot of compliments on the music. Karl introduced us to some great soul tracks and filled out the the mix with cater to our crowd (Minnesotan, heavy on the Prince). We still put it on and cut a rug from time to time! Karl was prompt and professional as he was putting together the mixes.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'm pretty flexible on fee structure (deposits, payment schedule, etc.) Typically I charge a flat fee that includes consultation, planning, setup, dj'ing (obviously), mc’ing (If needed), and break down.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For weddings, I typically ask that you send me 10-20 must play songs, and 10 absolutely do not play songs. From there I curate a list of about 50 songs for the night and send those back to you in advance of the wedding for final review. I also work with couples to choose the mood for the dinner/cocktail music, and bridal party intros + first dance songs. (My wife is a wedding planner, so I have a solid understanding of wedding structure.)

Have been DJ now for more than 5 years.
