Introduction

I provide interior design consultation and planning. I charge $75.00 per hour for a walk-through home evaluation and initial consultation. This usually takes 1 to 2 hours. My areas of expertise are: color choice, tile and flooring, lighting, room functionality, furniture and accessories, and traffic flow. I can provide further interior design services at a reasonable rate of $25 hour. Should you have a kitchen or bath remodel project in mind, I can provide initial consultation on that too. Save time and money whether you want to refresh your existing living area or commit to a more extensive remodel project. My interest in interior design is an extension of my love of art, design, and function in everyday life. I enjoy helping people create their dream living space, whether it is a simple matter of choosing colors, reorganizing closets, or remodeling an entire area of the home.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My standard rate is $75/hr. for initial consultations and $25/hr. for additional planning services. The knowledge I provide, plus the time and money I save my clients are worth many times more than the price of my fees.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I travel to the customer for the initial consultation. The fee for this meeting is $75/hr. This includes a walk-through of the design site and discussion of the client's needs. I provide a detailed analysis of what works well in the home and how to improve areas that are of concern for the homeowner. This meeting can be a one-time consultation, or, the basis for further design services. Payment for the initial consultation is made at the time of the consultation. This usually takes no more than 2 hours.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have two years experience as an interior designer and I have 1 year as a remodel project manager with Lowe's Home Improvement. I am a graduate of the New York Institute ofArt and Design.
