- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Yes, I will do a pared down, simple service with traditional vows. Of course I will – especially if this is your dream. But my specialty is an extremely personalized message, specifically-written vows, and a loving, fun challenge to your new family and your family and friends who there with you as your guests. I’ll be available for your rehearsal, as someone you can count on to answer your questions, and as a person who is absolutely loyal to your vision for your wedding day. (Example price points for varying levels of service below.) My reviews can be found here on Thumbtack and on weddingwire.com under “Reverend Stacey Marries.” I can send you a sample service, and I’m happy to take your phone calls, as well. My love for and true dedication for marking meaningful occasions with beautiful, truthful words also makes me a someone you can trust to celebrate special events, memorials, and funerals with love and tenderness. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We speak on the phone to see if we feel that we're a good match. Then, if we're close enough, and you'd like, we can meet for coffee and I can explain how I do the process of creating your service. The phone is good for this, too, in case we're too far for a meeting. Then, once we've decided to work together, I take a deposit and send you a confirmation that your date is reserved. I email you and your fiance(e) a list of questions to answer. This helps me write something special just for you. I'm very flexible about how you'd like things to go; however, I have lots of opinions and experience about how things might go smoothly, so if you have questions, I'm your girl. I truly enjoy this more than just about anything, and I'm excited EVERY time!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been coaching and speaking to groups my entire adult life. My experience with weddings was all on the job! I am ordained and can marry you legally in the state of Indiana, Florida, Georgia, and several others. I am not the pastor of a church; I'm more of the pastor to all my friends who are are not churchgoers, are of faiths different from their families, or maybe not of any faith at all. Marriage is for people who love and care for one another; I'm not worried about your labels.
