Introduction
We have experienced people in every trade, we know which product will work best in each situation and we work well as a team, operating in the most efficient order of operations. Most projects, even those that primarily involve one construction trade still involve other trades or effect other components in the house, so a generalist always operates as estimator, project manager and QC to make sure our customers understand the other components and issues that will come into play. It's different every day, it's challenging, there's always more to learn, working with a variety of people from a variety of backgrounds, working in and out of the office at different times, and most of all, knowing that we helped someone solve their problem(s) and they are happier than when I first arrived.

Gary was and is heaven sent to my family! My husband and I had no clue about finishing basements etc. Gary walked us through step by step and gave us the most affordable price based on our budget. He is very friendly and has a great passion for each and every job, big or small. We are so blessed to have met Gary for our project. I know some people have horror stories about contractors. But if you can book Gary, you can rest assured knowing you are in god hands. Thanks Gary!

Details: Other • Already have plans - just need installation • Yes, an existing wall needs to be removed • Yes, I need plumbing or electrical lines installed • As recommended by carpenter • Home

I would definitely recommend Gary and his team. They are hard work and are honest. I had a lot of quotes coming in trying to up charge me or solve problems I didn’t have. With Gary he listened and provided some great ideas to add some framing to my basement. Not only did they provide great quality work for a fair price they were great people to spend some time sigh. I will absolutely have them back! Thank you Gary, James and James!

Details: Yes, the structure has already been built • Other • No existing plans, but have a good idea of what I want • No, this is a new structure • No, I do not need plumbing or electrical lines installed • No, I do not need drywall applied • Home

Gary is a stud. Hired him to install 6 windows in a basement ( 3x 7ft, 3x 6ft ). He found the windows for me in 1 day, every window vendor I contacted said it would be custom built and take months. He came out on a Thursday to give his quote/estimate, stone masons showed up on a Monday and cut the the concrete blocks, teethed in the new blocks for extra support and backfilled with mortar, everything was done properly without me having to say a word.. Most crews would leave huge holes in your foundation during this period without building temp walls to support the weight till the structural supports go in. Gary had the temp supports up before I could say a word! He sourced me custom made angle iron (see pictures below) for support beams from a local steel maker here in Marietta which was picked up by him and installed by Wednesday. Wood frames were installed by Thursday which set me up to easily install the windows on Friday night. Me being a seasoned DIY flipper/homeowner, I can tell you, this is not a easy thing to do and most people wont even take the job. I'm happy with his service, quality, responsiveness, value... Affordable Craftsmen is definitely worth it

Details: Yes, the structure has already been built • Reframe a wall to accommodate new door or window • No existing plans, but have a good idea of what I want • No, everything is removed - I just need installation • As recommended by carpenter • No, I do not need drywall applied • Home

Had them come out to determine if a wall was load bearing. The engineer determined it wasn’t very quickly and was happy to advise me on some other structural questions around my home. $200 was a steal for the peace of mind knowing my home is structurally safe.

Details: Remodel • Load bearing wall and/or beam specifications • Residential

Affordable Craftsmen's reply
Thanks Matt, so glad we were able to help! Even if that wall had been structural, would have only been another $150 to get a drawing, beams sizing, often with multiple options and a letter, when most for same service are $750-1,500. Customers like you who want to know the truth and do things professionally are always great to work with! Anything in the future, just let us know and can't wait to see how your project comes out sir :-)

Gary was an amazing source of information. He came out to assess our situation and provided many valuable alternatives, without charging a dime! He knows his stuff and we will be calling on him in the future to address various things at our home. Thank you Gary for your time, insight and information!!

Details: Residential

Affordable Craftsmen's reply
Hey Dana, thanks for giving me your time and letting me come to your home. It was great to meet you and Mark. The home you recently bought is such a find, the land, the quiet, the extra garage and has great bones, built by a builder...exactly the type of home I'm always looking for personally! I'm looking forward to visiting again and being of help next time something comes up, thanks again!!!
