- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I work off a base fee for a non-complex appraisal. If the property is larger, on acreage, or have a unique nature the fee could possibly be higher. It’s based upon the amount of time it takes to inspect the property and complete the appraisal.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I explain the appraisal process to the customer before I come out. I tell them what to expect during my inspection of the home, give them an estimate of how long the inspection will take, and also provide them with an estimate of time to complete the report.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified residential real estate appraiser. I completed my certification classes in 1989. I also complete additional classes each year on different appraisal techniques and topics. I have performed thousands of appraisals through the years of various types and have extensive experience in pricing most types of residential properties.
