FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
First I need to ascertain exactly what the client needs. We communicate. Then we agree on all the details, and I get to work. I like to get the translation back to the client as soon as possible. I mail the translation by Priority Mail with tracking within the US.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
As a child, my family traveled several times from the United States mainland to Puerto Rico. We became bilingual at a very early age. Also, my graduate studies have been in both English and Spanish. So I am fluent in both speaking and writing. I have a legal background and that is extremely helpful to my translation business. I got into this field to help people.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I've done English to Spanish and Spanish to English interpretations in all kinds of settings. I have done interpretations of depositions and school conferences. Also translations of legal texts. When the documents are for government use, I prepare a certification of my competency as translator, and have my signature on the certification notarized.
