Proud Owner/U.S. Air Force Retired. I am a professional and approach my profession as such from beginning to end. From the equipment I use, to the music (DJ subscription/with professional edits/clean versions), to the planning stages of your event. I personally like to meet with the client at the venue when possible prior to the event or a teleconference if meeting is not feasible so we can discuss details. The planning/discussion ensures we plan a successful event and cover all the details and answer any questions the client might have to ensure they have a unforgettable fun time! Also, I write a contract so you know for sure that I will be there and it is not just my word but a legal agreement between you and my business. Finally, the best part of my profession is to being able to provide entertainment for people/couples/individuals and make unforgettable memories.

I found DJ Rique through Thumbtack as I was looking for a DJ for our neighborhood block party. His service was 1000% and I wouldn’t hesitate to hire him again. He was very responsive and worked with me to coordinate the event. He arrived to the event over an hour early just to get set up and in place before the party started He was very interactive with the guests and even accommodated the youngsters with some karaoke. I would not hesitate to hire DJ Rique for my next event.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
3-4 Hrs/Medium System for BD/Sweet 16/ party: $300 to $400 plus the distance of travel. $50 for every additional hr. 3-4 Hrs/Medium System for Wedding Reception: $400 to $500 plus the distance of travel. $50 for every additional hr. and $100 extra to set up for a Wedding Ceremony. I do offer a discount for schools and military, police/government events.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Send a quote first. I require a deposit that consists of 50% of the quoted price. I write a contract and meet with customer to plan the event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a DJ for 14 years, have been in the IT field with the military (AF) for 14 years as a Communications Systems Manager (retired). Currently working on a IT degree. I keep up with the music (subscription) and subscribe to various DJ forums to keep up with changes in technology, systems, etc.
