- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We have set pricing structures that remains the same no matter what. It is calculated based on the amount of space taken up on our trucks. It will not increase based on your location, or the location of your items, as long as it does not pose a potential safety risk, or requires specialized equipment to gain access. There are some items that we do have to charge an additional fee for due to the extra costs involved with disposal. These items include, but are not limited to: Passenger tires- $2 Commercial tires - $15 Mattresses - $8 Wet paint - $1/gallon Hazardous Chemicals - $1-$5 Aerosol cans - $3 Appliances with Freon - $5
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We try to keep things really simple. When a new customer contacts The Georgia Junkman, You will be: 1. Greeted with a smile 2. Properly introduced 3. Asked what city you are located in 4. If your are within our service area, asked to get details on what you are needing to have disposed of. 5. Asked to send a photo of your items, or to schedule a time to review in person 6. Given an upfront quote to remove your items.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was working with a moving company and almost all our customers that were moving out of their place would ask if we knew anyone that could haul away their unwanted items. Eventually, I became that person and I haven’t looked back since!
