I provide individual, marriage and family therapy. Everyone has their own baggage, pain and traumatic experiences that they carry around with them throughout their life. It is much like walking through an airport bogged down with baggage and hoping that a new destination will help you to escape feeling bogged down. The problem is that, unless you check the baggage, you carry this baggage to every destination and still feel bogged down.
Depression and anxiety can be symptoms of being overwhelmed with too much baggage and feeling helpless. This helpless feeling can affect anyone in any or many phases of life. As a therapist, one of my main goals is to assist my clients with "checking their baggage." Imagine walking through the airport of life without being forced to drag your pain and baggage with you. You can finally think with your brain and not through the pain. The decisions you make will be made with a clear mind and heart enabling you to make the choices destined to get you where you want to go. You can choose a life destination not to escape to, but to succeed and grow. Checking your baggage at an airport is not always easy and neither is therapy. Examining and processing each bag to truly put it behind you can be hard work. Working with my clients as a therapeutic team, I become a tool who my clients can use to help themselves.
I am an integrative therapist who uses a humanistic approach to counseling. I work with individuals, couples, families, and groups.
