Javier came to give me an estimate to fix my electrical issue and replace an old fan with a new one. When he arrived he started taking apart a lamp that he thought was shorting out a fuse in my fuse box. All of this before discussing price. I finally asked him how much these jobs would cost. He gave me a price to fix everything. He ended up having to replace the fuse and installed the new fan. When he finished he said it would cost $xxx when earlier he said it would cost $xxx about $100 less. I told him I was not going to pay that since we had agreed on a price that was agreeable to both of us. He finally agreed to accept the original price. He just needs to give you the price up front before he starts the work and stick to the estimated price when finished with the job.
