We are new to our home and were unsure of the state of the gas fireplace. Chewy’s did a thorough inspection of the chimney and fireplace. They cleaned the fireplace and rearranged the logs to provide a more even display of the flames. They took the time to make sure we knew how to use the remote properly. Would definitely hire again.

I’ve been living in a house for 8 years, have never used the fireplace and decided that I wanted to finally use it this year. Using this business I got a Level II Fireplace inspection with video scan, for $350. I actually enjoyed the technician who came out. He was punctual, seemed very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. Going into this, I knew there was a piece of siding missing on the chimney chase. The tech and I discussed some options that didn’t actually involve replacing the entire siding right now. All the fireplace components were in good working order, but I did/do desire to convert my fireplace to gas. I received my actual report a day or so later and the recommendations were completely different from what the tech said in person. Personally, I found it odd that the changes were so drastic & I was told that “upon further review of the inspection, it was determined the condition of the siding was too deteriorated,”and needed to be replaced. Attached was a $7,000 quote to replace the siding (on JUST the chimney chase) and a rain pain. Needless to say, I thought the quote was beyond excessive and ridiculous & ultimately hired a siding company to take care of that issue. Subsequently, I did not purchase gas logs from this company either because, I just got vibes of attempting to be price gauged, so I will get them elsewhere. In all business transactions, just make sure you do your research and get more than one quote! My ultimate goal was to use my fireplace, and whether the siding was fixed or not, I could do so.
