Introduction

I provide a clean music service for your event. I specialize in weddings, private parties, family reunions, corporate events, and school dances. My goal is to make your event memorable to all of your guests! I have customized playlists, a professional attitude, a wide variety of music, and years of experience. I like to work with the client personally to make your event the best that it can be. It only takes a small deposit to lock in your date; until then I will gladly provide consultation and answer any of your questions. Most of my wedding and party packages include dance lights. Ask about these add-ons that enhance your wedding or other events for very reasonable prices: - Sparkler Send-Offs (starting at $50, depends on length and number) - Dancing on a Cloud (starting at $375) - Cold Sparks (starting at $600) - Uplight Accenting (starting at $200) - Karaoke (price depends on event length) - Music Bingo (price depends on event length) - Photo Booth (starting at $700) I have worked at weddings (including LGBTQ), corporate events, school dances (member of responsible DJs of the School Dance Network) and festivals, 5k and 10k races, private home parties, private parties in clubs, and comedy shows. Social distancing does not mean you cannot have a wedding or celebration. Besides an in-person socially distant event, you may want to consider a virtual or hybrid event. Virtual and hybrid gatherings are becoming extremely popular. They allow you to have a party and social distance. A virtual party is completely virtual, while a hybrid party is where some guests and the DJ are at a location and other guests tune in remotely. I have experience with both settings. I provide Zoom access and music. You bring the energy to the party, chat, and have fun! You can also ask me about Zoom weddings, which are also becoming popular. The best thing about being a DJ is setting the atmosphere with music and watching people enjoy themselves. DJ Charles did a great job DJing at our 300-person reception. I especially appreciated his availability from the first call leading up to the event. He worked with us on our choreography song and was willing to meet with the venue in person to square away details prior to. We also received automated email reminders about wedding planning leading up to the celebration, which I thought was a lovely touch to the services. He was also able to offer sparklers, which made for a beautiful exit. Overall a good DJ experience!

Everyone loved the DJ & we had a blast dancing the night away! Every age was on the dance floor (from 2 years old - 92 years old)! What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is on the low-competitive end. I don’t want to break your pocketbook, but I do want to provide you with high-quality service. I do have discounts available for school functions. I also have seasonal specials. Just reach out and we can talk.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like have a face-to-face or phone meeting to discuss the vision for the event and to understand your likes and dislikes. For weddings, I have a detailed process that includes personality, event scheduling, colors, musical tastes, must have and must not playlist, desired DJ attire and persona, and more. My goal is to get to know you as well as you get to know me so that I can be your partner in your event.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a graduate of Scratch DJ Academy (scratch.com) as a certified professional DJ. I also take mixing and scratching courses regularly. In addition, I have taken courses and 20 plus years of public speaking. I’m a lifelong learner, and so I am always finding ways to learn how to improve my DJ skills. I am certified by the School Dance Network as a school friendly. You can learn more at schooldancenetwork.com.
