- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Either a phone or text conversation to square out & confirm the details provided by Thumbtack. Depending on your type of event (Usually for a Wedding) I will email you a music form to customize your music selections which will also provide you and your event planner a timeline for the music proceedings. There is a 25% deposit due to secure your date (Can be subject to change)
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I hosted an event last minute when I showed up as a guest and the DJ never showed. I only had my phone and Spotify & the sound system provided at the event hall, but I took it upon myself to take over the hosting duties so the people that ran the event didn’t have to worry about that part. I found it very natural and I was praised for my MC skills and my music selection. After that I bought a DJ controller and started practicing to confirm if this was something I enjoyed doing and it’s been the biggest joy ever since.
